3 TIER ARCHITECTURE IN EKTRON

PC - 1 - Application Layer

Step 1 : Installed a new Site Setup in the name of www.3tiertesting in Ektron 8.6SP1 version. Update the proper License key in the workarea setup.

Step 2 : As part of the installation, the 3Tier Min site will be installed to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ektron\CMS400v85\startersites\3TierMin\Content

This folder will form the basis of your presentation layer web site.

PC - 2 - Presentation Layer

Step 1 : Copy the 3TierMin site (content) to your PC-2 that you’ll be using as your presentation server. 

Rename the content folder to 3tiertestingPresentaion

Step 2 : Add your sites to the host file 

NOTE : 192.168.40.162 - IP address of PC-1(Application Layer)

Step 3 : Add your site to IIS 

Step 4: Open the site’s web.config and update your ek_services_path to point to your CMS Sites services.

Step 5 : Login your site with admin credentials in your PC - 2 using CMSLogin.aspx

Step 6 : Added a new template in Presentation Layer and tried adding the content in the root folder by using your code which you have provided in your previous mail. 

Step 7: Content has been added successfully and you can view the added content in the below Workarea snap of your Application Layer.
